How We Work
What We Do
1. First, we listen. We want to get a sense of who you are, your goals for the site or project, and your timeframe and budget. Sometimes we’ll ask “have you thought of this” type questions. We want to understand your needs, so we can begin to brainstorm options that can meet your intentions for the site.
2. Give you feedback. We’ve seen a lot of sites succeed and fail, change and grow. We can often shorten the path to success, or close off dead ends quickly, or help you take advantage of the Internet in ways you might not have thought of. We want our clients to succeed, and we’ll give you the benefit of all of our creativity and expertise to help you do so.
3. Create a plan. Depending on your needs and budget, we’ll offer you a detailed proposal, a series of options, or a single straightforward solution. Usually we can estimate total costs at this point. We’ll talk this over with you, and mutually decide who is reponsible for delivering what, and when.
What You Won’t Get
1. Tech-jargon.
2. Threats of dire consequences if you don’t install the latest-greatest-coolest thing.
3. Irrelevant or distracting bells and whistles.
4. Taking you the long way around when the short route will get you there quicker and cheaper.
What You’ll Come Away With
A web site that meets and exceeds your goals, and still fits in your budget. A vision of the next steps in your path to web success.
Going Forward
You’ll also have a strategic partner you can call on to answer your questions and help find solutions as your business evolves and grows. I’m also happy to arrange for site maintenance/updating on a scheduled or on-call basis, or to enable you to manage it yourself. We can offer training; we’re also experts at designing sites that require minimal effort to maintain.
Sound Good?
If you feel ready to proceed, give me a call at 510-215-9960, or email me, and we’ll talk about your site. There is no charge for a consultation.
If this sounds like too much, too soon, feel free to hang around the blog, read some how-to articles, and check out some of the resources here.
