That’s why I’m offering this starter website/blog package built on one of the most ubiquitous and stable platforms on the planet—WordPress. I’m adding a widely used and highly regarded premium theme (“skin”) that allows truly easy customization.
If you are a service provider and you need a small (8-20 pages) site, this package will get you the site you need, quickly and elegantly. Within a week, you can have a beautiful, professional, fully functional web site that you can manage yourself.
I install the site, configure it for you, and give you a personal one-on-one introduction to WordPress. You take it from there, populating your site with the content, images, and links you want.
How much does it cost?
The basic starter site, installed, with all of the plugins that will make your life easier, plus one hour of personal orientation, is $529. This is a flat rate, and there are no additions or hidden fees.
Additional help, guidance and customization, if desired, is available at $80 per hour.
Do all these sites look the same?
No. Along with WordPress, I use Thesis, a user-configurable system that allows you to choose an almost infinite number of layouts and color schemes with absolutely no coding or programming.
What do I need to do?
When I receive your order, I’ll contact you to get the information I need. Then, when you’re ready, you do just one thing:
- You purchase your domain name (roughly $10 per year) and web hosting (under $10 per month, using one of the hosting companies I use and recommend—I’ll send you a list).
Then it’s in my hands. Here’s what I do:
- I set up your hosting and domain.
- I install the latest version of WordPress on your web host
- I set up the installation as a site or as a blog, or both, your choice (and you can change your mind later!).
- I configure basic layout options and colors (you can easily change these later too)
- I create the content-ready page “blanks” within WordPress, set up navigation, and test everything.
- I install and configure the plugins that you’ll need to make running the site even smoother, including Google Analytics, and automatic backup for your site.
- We spend an hour together on the phone while I orient you to WordPress and walk you through putting content on one page of your site.
Then, you add the rest of the content and launch the site when you’re ready!
How long does it take?
